15/12/2022- Affinity water have issued the following advice

You may remember the Beast from the East in 2018 caused nationwide disruption. Pipes that had frozen during the cold weather suddenly thawed, causing bursts within water networks and, at times, within customers' homes as well.
This weekend, we're expecting a similar rapid thaw, after a week of below freezing temperatures.
We want to protect our water supply from reducing any further, especially as we're still in a period of drought.
Our teams are working around the clock to minimise leakage levels, but we all need to do what we can to save water this winter.
What you can do now:
To avoid potential bursts, leaks, and issues with your water supply at home, you can take actions to prevent the worst from happening.
Make sure your home is ready by following these simple steps:
Insulate any pipes or taps that are exposed to the cold, i.e. in your loft or outside.
Check and fix any leaks around your home and find out what you can do to prevent your pipes from bursting.
Check where your inside and outside stop taps are that turn off your water supply, and make sure they work.
Leave your central heating on the frost protection setting overnight.
Learn what to do if your pipes freeze so that you can get your water running again.
It's a good idea to put some water in a jug or bottles in the fridge, so you're covered in the event of an emergency.
